Branch Operations Support / Delivery – Nelson

At Total Oil New Zealand we pride ourselves on providing our customers with exceptional service and technical support. Our branches are located in Whangarei, Auckland, Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupo, New Plymouth, Nelson, Christchurch and Dunedin with our main distribution centre and support office in Hastings. We have recently expanded to the Wellington and Waikato regions so are growing rapidly! We also have a strong national network of 6 distributors. Total Oil New Zealand is the third largest dedicated lubricants supplier in New Zealand.

Our customer base is across the entire Nelson, Marlborough and West Coast and while we have a planned cycle you need to be flexible as things crop up. You will need to be able to move drums and containers of oil and associated products from our range. Most importantly, you will be engaging with our customers on a daily basis and often be their ‘go to’, so outstanding customer service is essential. Most of all you will enjoy a laugh, having fun and getting stuck in to help the team succeed.

A current class 1 & 2 driver’s license is essential. An OSH forklift license and F Endorsement would be a preferred but not critical. 

Your day will be action packed and cover off the following:

  • Ensuring products are stored safely and to required standards
  • Making sure the working environment is tidy and safe
  • Picking orders, accurately checking and packing orders – attention to detail is critical
  • Delivering products to our customers meeting all site safety requirements
  • Completing pump overs for customers (if required)
  • Driving a forklift to source products/put products away

To be successful in the role you must have:

  • Demonstrated experience in general warehousing and driving
  • Forklift licence and relevant endorsements
  • Hold a current New Zealand driver’s licence (Class 1 & 2)
  • A good level of fitness – you will need to be able to lift 20 litre containers
  • Know your way around a computer (training will be provided on our new ordering/invoicing system)
  • Excellent communicator, a real team player who goes the extra mile to get the job done

Have a solid understanding of safety requirements in a warehousing environment, driving safety and understand the importance of safe manual handling practices

Account Manager – Auckland

The role

Lubricant sales or similar industry experience preferred but not necessary, we have a team of experts who can teach you the ropes. You will have great energy, communication and relationship building skills and are happy to pitch in when the team needs your help. Reporting to the Business Manager, you will be supported by a team of fantastic people across the country who are driven, passionate and supportive to take our company to the next level.

You are skilled at building solid and longstanding relationships and will easily relate to a wide variety of people – from workshop managers to CEO’s. Your communication skills, time management and call planning will be top notch and you will have a passion for providing exceptional service to our customers. You have a good understanding of oils and lubricants and experience in the various industries we serve. You are comfortable using CRM tools and eager to use these to optimise the quality and efficiency of your work. Above all: you are an outstanding team player and hungry to make a difference.

Warehouse Store person – Christchurch

The role

Reporting to the Branch Operations Manager, your main tasks will be (but not limited to):

  • Picking orders following the picking form – attention to detail is critical
  • Accurately checking and packing orders
  • Making sure the working environment is tidy and safe
  • Helping unload containers
  • Driving a forklift to source products/put products away
  • Decanting larger quantities of products into smaller items
  • Making small deliveries to customers.

What we are looking for

To be successful in the role you must have:

  • Physically fit and reliable – you will need to be able to lift 20 litre
  • Forklift license and relevant endorsements (or willing to attain)
  • Hold a current New Zealand driver’s license
  • Know your way around a computer and have the ability to learn new systems.
  • Excellent communicator, a real team player who goes the extra mile to get the job done
  • Have a solid understanding of or willing to learn the importance of safety requirements in a warehousing environment and the importance of safe manual handling practices.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment.
  • Keen to learn and help out where ever needed.
